Deductible Recovery
Deductible recovery is the return of a policyholder's deductible out of a successful subrogation recovery against the at-fault party.
When an insurer subrogates successfully, the policyholder is often reimbursed the deductible they paid, sometimes in full, sometimes pro rata, depending on the state's made-whole rules and how much was recovered. Prompt deductible recovery is a visible, tangible benefit of an effective subrogation program.
